Apply to be a Career Coach in Residence
Toronto Public Library is hosting residencies beginning in June 17, 2024 to November 2, 2024.
We invite applicants with experience in career coaching for younger adults to submit responses to the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the role of TPL's Career Coaches in Residence (CCIR).
Applications are now being accepted until May 21 2024.

Meet the coaches

Catherine Crawford
Catherine is an accomplished Career Strategist and founder of Career Advantage. She values trust and rapport first and foremost to establish a systematic plan of action to bring about clients' desired career goals. She is a transformational professional with an extensive coaching background. When working with individuals she brings empathy, clarity, and expertise to inspire personal and professional growth. Her unwavering focus is empowering individuals with the confidence, techniques, and tools to achieve career definition. Catherine is a Certified Career Strategist (CCS) and a Certified Resume Strategist (CRS). She also is certified as an MBTI Facilitator, with Psychometrics Canada and Level II, Personality Dimensions. These certifications coupled with her Leadership Essentials certificate has allowed her to hone a personal methodology to support clients at various levels.

Tinuola (Tinu) Olawuyi
Tinu Olawuyi is an Associate Director, Academic Advising at Northeastern University, Toronto where she oversees academic advising. She works with students and supports them in developing an action plan to achieve their academic and professional goals. Over the last 15 years, Tinu has worked with university and college students providing direct services and programming in the areas of academic advising, career development and coaching, employment preparation, leadership development, and mentorship to equip students to achieve their academic and career aspirations. She also teaches a career development course that prepares student for their coop and experiential learning opportunities. She is passionate and committed to helping young adults build their confidence, empowering them to be at their optimal, and providing them the tools and resources necessary to achieve their career and professional goals.

Esther Shin
Esther Shin is a career development professional with 15 years of experience helping young adults realize their potential and find meaningful opportunities. She is currently working as an Academic & Learning Strategist at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), where she supports students to achieve their academic and career aspirations and has counselled students to explore their career identities based on their strengths, interests, and values. She has completed a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and Career and Work Counsellor Diploma and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals and previously worked as a social worker.
